This policy explains how [COMPANY NAME] ("we") handles personal data in the StarRadius apps and portals, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Your internet service provider ("ISP") is the data fiduciary for its subscribers' data; we process that data on the ISP's behalf.

Data we handle

Account and identity details: name, phone, email, address, KYC documents.
Service data: plan, connection identifiers, usage, session and billing records.
Network logs the ISP must keep by law (connection and NAT/IPDR records).
Device data needed to sign in securely and deliver notifications.

Why we use it

To provide and bill for internet service, authenticate users, show usage, handle support requests, send service notices, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

Data is kept while the account is active. Once an account is closed, your ISP can remove or anonymise your personal data on request, subject to records we are legally required to keep: telecom connection and IPDR logs for about 2 years (Department of Telecommunications licence terms), security logs for 180 days (CERT-In directions), and tax and billing records as required by law.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to act for you, subject to the legal retention described above. Accounts are created and closed by your internet service provider, so contact your ISP to make these requests; staff accounts are administered by their employer.
